Stage 3 Water Restrictions
Mandatory Water Conservation
Effective: November 1, 2011 until TBD
Revised: April 3, 2012
On Sept 28, 2011 the North Texas Municipal Water District announced it was requesting all its member cities to implement State 3 water conservation measures effective November 1, 2011. In a special meeting held March 29, 2012 the water restrictions have been revised as follows:
- Irrigation Schedule: once per week until further notice
- Water days determined by address:
Even Address #s = Saturdays
Odd Address #s = Sundays
- There can be no lawn watering between the hours of 10am and 6pm
- Watering during significant rainfall/precipitation is prohibited
- House foundations may be kept moist with a water hose or soaker hose as necessary to prevent damage.
- Violators could be fined up to $2,000 for failing to follow water conservation measures.

Sewer Cover/Grate Theft
Crime Alert,
The City of Richardson Streets Department has reported at least 10 offenses involving the theft of metal sewer covers/grates. The offenses so far have been occurring in southeast Richardson with the last offenses being reported in the 1900 block of Berkner, 1500 block of Forsythe and the 1500 block of Concord. Pictures are attached.
